My journey into Pediatric Neurology and Psychiatry and homeopathy began unexpectedly and wad shaped by the guidance of experienced medical professionals, dedicated parents, and the children who continue to inspire my learning.
In early years of my practice, as ahomeopathic physician in Ahmedabad Gujarat, my clinic was next to a renowened psychiatrist. During a discussion about a child being treated for Hyperactivity, he shared how a medication intended for morning use had been administered later in the day, leading to significant sleep disturbance. He encouraged me to explore how homeopathy could support children with behavioural and neurodevelopmental challenges. That conversation became a turning point in my career.
Around a same time, a pediatrician shared a case of a child with Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy (HIE). The clinical observation and progress seen with homeopathic remedies in this case sparked my curiocity and motivated me study pediatric neurology and psychiatry condition in greated depth.
These experiences led me to focus more seriously on child neurology and psychiatry within homeopathy. In late 1990s, I began travelling frequently to Hyderabad, Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi, then growing center for special needs care in India, to learn from experts and observe different approaches.
As my experience grew, i realized that many families of special-needs children faced significant challanges travelling long distances for care. I decided to take my service closer to them. This led to extensive travel accross India, allowing me to meet families in their own regions and better understand their challenges.
Over time, my practice expanded across Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Patna, Varanasi, Jaipur and Indore. Each child and family added to my learning and deepened my commitment to this field.
Even today, this remains a continuous journey of learning. For past decade, I have had the privillege to working alongside genetic specialists, whose insights have further enriched my understanding of complex neurological and developmental conditions.
What began as a conversation between colleagues gradually evolved into a long-term professional mission to keep learning, to support children and families with compassion, and to contribute meaningfully to their care.
